Important facts

Climate: regular climate year round, but with sudden changes. Mornings and evenings are rather cold. Warmest season goes from April to July (19° to 28°C ) and coolest goes from December to January (0° to 5°C).

Geography: Mexico City is surrounded by high mountains, the most important are: the Popocatépetl and the Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. The city is 2,500 meters above sea level, so some people might feel dizzy because of the altitude. We suggest you to take your time to get used to the altitude, weather and air.

Population: Mexicans are famous for being warm and friendly with foreign people. You will find this is true since the moment you arrive to Mexico. The people's hospitality is one of the reasons why many tourists feel comfortable and decide to return to the country. Mexicans might ask you about you and your country; do not be surprised if as a proof of their hospitality, a classmate invites you to have dinner with the family. Family unity is still one of the most important Mexican values.
